Mysteries and Mayhem
October 6th, 2007So I finally got “Masque” by Kansas. I say “finally” because it is the album which contains one of my favorite (it’s tied with Magnum Opus) Kansas songs. The first Awesome Review I did was about it. I previously had it from a best of album. I now have the album it came from in the first place, and what hadn’t really sunk in was that this album was a concept album! The Pinnacle is the end of a concept album!!! AAANND The song before it was originally going to be a part of the pinnacle (they cut it into two pieces so that it wouldn’t be a 14 minute long song. I really don’t know why) and therefore has many elements of the pinnacle in it, and also elaborates on the story of the pinnacle. It’s like if I had only seen the last 3/4ths of my favorite movie and now I’m seeing the beginning.
