Weekly Game Prototype 4: Containment
December 3rd, 2008Alright, the weekly game prototypes return!
This week’s game is called “Containment”
(Windows Only)
This is a prototype of a game concept I came up with. I may make a more fleshed-out version of this game in the future.
Instructions:
—————————–
Movement is done with the Arrow keys.
You play as a remote ship that is sent out to absorb the radiation bursts from an interstellar anomaly. Your ship’s shields absorb the energy from the bursts when they collide. However, doing this drains your shields. You must refuel your shield’s power by getting health items which will occasionally fly through (They are a grey box with a green plus sign through it). Hitting asteroids or the anomaly will also drain your shields. If you have no shields left, or if 3 radiation bursts get off the side of the screen, it’s game over.
Scoring:
—————————–
You get 100 points for each enemy you hit.
I hope you enjoy!
